I can hear the grumbling all the way over here in Nashville.

"I don't need booties! Are you kidding? Booties?! I've got enough shoes as it is!"

Believe me when I tell you that while this season's fall/winter styles are fairly classic and include lots of items you probably already have in your closet (YAY!), a good pair of booties (or two or four) will single-handedly make you look 100% current for fall 2010. 

The best part? Booties look great with pants, dresses, and skirts.

I'm kind of loving these $198 Anthropologie booties, actually (not to mention their surreal setting). They look like the kind of shoes I'd wear if I were married to Bilbo Baggins.
