Let's start with this Sgt. Pepper-inspired military jacket.
It's part of Kmart's new fall line, it's available now in stores for just $26.99, and I totally covet it.
It's made of a soft, slightly distressed-looking cotton, and those epaulets? They're sequined.
Yes, ladies, Kmart wants you to know it's ready to compete with the big dogs of the discount fashion world, and now that I've seen the highlights of the fall 2010 line in person, I'm seriously a fan!
Now I just have to figure out where the closest Kmart is.
Read on to see my top picks -- much of the line (including this jacket) is in stores now and it'll all be there by September 1, so you'll want to jump on these clothes quickly before they sell out.
Besides the military jacket, I'm also dying for these skinny cargo pants, inspired by the J. Brand skinny cargo pants, which all the celebs are wearing right now (and which retail for $230).
Here, Kmart's skinny cargo pants are worn by a model. Retail price? $24.99! Kmart designer Mary has tried on the J. Brand pants and told me she likes her version better because they have more stretch to them. Sounds good to me.
This Military Crop Pea Coat (Kmart, $89.99) is on the pricier side, but having seen it in person, I love it. It's a good weight and would be perfect for the fall months here in Nashville, where it doesn't really get cold until late November.
I'm enthralled by this menswear look from Kmart's Fall 2010 collection, and I can see it looking great on so many body types. Here are the deets on prices: Attention Drape Vest (Kmart, $19.99), Attention Essential Vest (Kmart, $19.99), Attention Woven Tunic (Kmart, $24.99), Attention Leggings (Kmart, $19.99), and Fedora (Kmart, $12.99). It's got my attention, that's all I'm sayin'.
Here's my favorite jacket once again with a cool pair of distressed boyfriend jeans that have been rolled up (Kmart, $29.99).
And here's another look I love -- Hot Skinny Denim Jeggings (Kmart, $26.99) and an amazing peplum military jacket (Kmart, $99.99).
Finally, here's Kmart designer Mary, dressed in head-to-toe (er, ankle) Kmart! Cute!
