Finally! Up until now, the iconic store, Saks, only carried up to a size 10 in luxury labels.
Really? I never knew that. It seems very odd considering the average size in America is 14.
It's about time, Saks! Quite a few designers will be featuring their plus-size clothes at the fashionable retailer.
Now sizes above a 10 can step out in Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Toula, Akris, Armani, Carolina Herrera, Escada, Donna Karan, St. John, Oscar de la Renta, Max Mara, Valentino, Michael Kors, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Fendi, and Roberto Cavalli.
They'll have everything from pant suits to evening wear.
The downside: Currently, the plus sizes are only being sold in the New York flagship store. Hopefully if all goes well in NYC, they'll roll out to other locations throughout the United States.

Until then, you can shop online at Saks' Salon Z for sizes 14 to 24.

Not sure why but I'm willing to bet they aren't the only ones.
Who knows?
It drives me insane! I'm a size 12 and I can NEVER EVER find anything that fits me. It's either too big or too small. Most nicer companies stop their lines at 10 (like sacs) but the plus sized companies don't start theirs until 14 or 16 so I either have to wear something that's too baggy and makes me look bigger, or something that's too tight and makes me look like a cheap tramp. I'm sick of it! ugh!
Don't know....perhaps they have a discount chain store for plus-size that they might have been connected to. Glad to see that they are offering plus sizes now!
