Finally! Up until now, the iconic store, Saks, only carried up to a size 10 in luxury labels.
Really? I never knew that. It seems very odd considering the average size in America is 14.
It's about time, Saks! Quite a few designers will be featuring their plus-size clothes at the fashionable retailer.
Now sizes above a 10 can step out in Chanel, Dolce & Gabbana, Toula, Akris, Armani, Carolina Herrera, Escada, Donna Karan, St. John, Oscar de la Renta, Max Mara, Valentino, Michael Kors, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Fendi, and Roberto Cavalli.
They'll have everything from pant suits to evening wear.
The downside:urrently, the plus sizes are only being sold in the New York flagship store. Hopefully if all goes well in NYC, they'll roll out to other locations throughout the United States.
Until then, you can shop online at Saks' Salon Z for sizes 14 to 24.
Why do you think Saks took so long to offer plus sizes?
