HSN knows that we can't travel to Bali, shop in India, or peruse the Italian markets. So they're bringing it to us.
Inspired by the upcoming film Eat Pray Love starring Julia Roberts, HSN has partnered with Sony Pictures to dedicate three days (one day for each country) to all things EPL, running August 6 to 8.
The categories featuring the products include accessories, jewelry, ready-to-wear, and beauty. I can already picture jewel-toned eye shadows, exotic robes, and bright stone necklaces.
HSN isn't the first to capitalize on this movie for fashion. Sue Wong has created quite the colorful line to be sold at Saks and Neiman Marcus; though, I have to say, it's a little over-the-top for my particular tastes.
Fashion designers that are going to be part of the 72-hour campaign include Naeem Khan and Rebecca Moses and as well as jewelry designers Robin by Me & Ro, Padma Lakshmi (yes, the Top Chef star), and Nicky Butler, amongst others.
It's interesting how fashion is tapping into the movie world (SATC, anyone?) -- though, as Michele had pointed out in a previous post, there's usually a lot left to be desired.
Do you think the HSN campaign will be a hit? What types of fashion pieces do you foresee being inspired from Eat Pray Love?
