We use cosmetics to make us feel more beautiful, so why do so many beauty items come in drab packaging we would never want to display?
Some brands really have fun with the cases their products come in and I'd love the inside of my makeup case to feature products that make me smile when I put them on. Makeup is an art form, they should look artistic in the container, too!
I rounded up 8 beauty products that are just as gorgeous sitting on your bathroom counter as they are when they are in use on your face or your body. Maybe our love of these items will make all cosmetic company's follow suit.
Iconic Barbie. Sure her measurements are unachievable in real life, but her eye makeup isn't. Stila Cosmetics' Barbie Loves Stila Smudge Pot ($20) comes in blue, black, and purple and can be used as a shadow or a liner. That blue is amazing. Plus, they are smudge-proof.
Remember when you had fancy pencils to write with like this? Well here's the makeup version. Tokidoki's Pittura Brush Set ($35) from Sephora features three characters on a different beauty tool -- Mozzarella Eyeshadow Brush, Adios Amigos Crease Brush, and Donutella Angled Eyeliner Brush.
Confessions of a Concealaholic ($36) from Benefit looks like a book, and in a way it is -- there are how to steps for makeup application inside. But check out the array of products. It's all you need for flawless looking skin.
Anything from Gwen Stefani is going to be exciting and her Harajuku Lovers Eau de Toilette Spray in Baby ($30) from Ulta doesn't disappoint. This scent is a powdery vanilla, rose, and freesia mix. Just be sure to keep your baby away from the adorable doll the fragrance is contained in.
NP Set Runaway Star Lip Gloss Set ($14) from Target can hang on your keychain for easy access to shimmery lips. Plus, it's infused with Vitamin E and Shea butter. Smooch!
We're not supposed to eat our makeup, but Petite Four Lip Balm Set ($18) from Fred Flare will definitely have you licking your lips (plus taste real good when kissed). You get the whole set, which includes raspberry, strawberry, creme tart, and chocolate cream puff.
Twilight fans will love the moody packaging on Luna Twilight Just Bitten Staining Balm ($18). Be Bella, and choose from one of the four shades. Or choose two -- one for Jacob and one for Edward.
You won't have to hide these products in your bathroom. Tokyo Milk's line is always made to be displayed. I love the Skull With Roses Small Bubble Bath No. 6 ($22). It's a vanilla and white orchid luxury for your bath. But I also adore the white musk and rose scented Octopus Small Bubble Bath No. 12 ($22). In case your bathroom decor requires a different look, check out the many other bubble baths to choose from at Tokyo Milk.
These also make great gifts! Which one is your favorite?
