When I saw mom Meralis Hood at the uber-popular Monkey's Treehouse here in Nashville, I knew I had to take a photo.
She was so simply dressed and yet so on-trend. After a morning of seeing nothing but jeans and t-shirts, it was an awesome sight to behold.
"Oh, I look awful today, too!" she exclaimed when I asked to take her picture.
I wonder what she looks like on a GOOD day?!
Mostly, I'm shocked that Meralis has managed to take two trends I'm extremely iffy about -- rompers and tribal prints -- and rock the look. She wore a simple key pendant necklace, put her hair in a casual side ponytail, and finished off the look with a cute pair of leather flip-flops.
The effect: casual summer style that appears to be effortless.
What I didn't know when I spotted Meralis is that there's a very good reason she's so well dressed.
Want to know her secret?
She and her sister recently opened a clothing boutique!
It's called Anastasia's Closet and it's in Murfreesboro, which is right outside of Nashville. Stop by if you're in the area.
In the meantime, here's how you can score Meralis's look for yourself:
Target has several juniors' rompers that look almost identical to Meralis's, so I suspect she got hers there. This one is the Xhilaration Junior Smocked Strapless Romper (Target, $19.99) and it's sold out online -- but check out the store if you like this look, because I'm betting they'll have some in stock. This romper also comes in green and purple.
I love this simple White Gold Key Pendant (Kohls, $31.25), which retailed for $125! Again, this necklace is sold out online, but check your local Kohls, ladies -- this necklace is a steal!
Keep your look simple with this Mossimo Gemma Flip-Flop (Target, $12.99).
What do you think of Meralis's style?

I think she looks good, I could never pull it off. Love the necklace and am going to look for it.
I love the pockets! I'm still scared to try the romper.
Also digging the necklace!
Very cute but not for me
I loved that she'd put some thought into her outfit, but she didn't look like she was trying too hard- that's a really tough balance.
I love the romper but not the print,I have been looking for one but not having much luck finding it
If I had seen that print on the rack, I would have run in horror- but on her it looked GREAT!
