Summer is here and I have one pair of shoes to wear. One pair! And it's a sandal with a two-inch heel that has seen better days. I'm not counting my flip-flops because ... well, those aren't real shoes to me.
I've been window shopping summer shoes and here are my favorite picks! Luckily there are a lot of sales going on, too.
I'm not a sneaker kind of gal, but these Keds Champion Dip Dye ($40) in purple, grey, or pink with a ribbon lace are pretty adorable. Good for year-round as well. Would look just as great with jeans as it would with a summer dress.
Pierre Dumas Peggy-1 ($24.99) from Piperlime screams romance. How pretty would the flowers look adorning a pedicured pair of feet? Comes in bronze (shown), black, or gold. They are like the teeny-tiny bikini of summer shoes -- barely there and very sexy.
Shiekh Gogo Flat ($24.97) is a color explosion and might just be the kind of shoes that have the most fun. Sure, they also come in solid colors, but these rainbow flats will match with just about everything and your feet will be happy in them.
My mom has a pair of Anne Klein sandals and she loves them so I checked out the selection. Anne Klein Coconut Sandals from Macy's are on sale for $48.30 and have a 2 3/4 wedge heel -- not too high, but high enough for some lift. How pretty is the wooden wedge?
I've been drooling over these Swedish Hasbeens Woven Peep Toe Sandals for weeks now -- they sell them in a shop a block from my house. Dangerous! But they are $219! This pair is from Urban Outfitters and they are very lightweight, aren't too fancy, but would look great with everything. But that price tag!
Aldo's Newens ($29.98) in black reminds me of a Dancing With the Stars shoe -- you slip them on and you'll want to waltz around in them. Or better yet, do the samba. I'd wear them with a pretty summer dress to dine outdoors with my hubs while sipping on Sangria.
Are you in the market for summer shoes? Which pair would you buy?
