Zac Posen Spring 2010

One of my favorite looks for this season has been the always-classic ballet theme.

Zac Posen, Marc Jacobs, and Bottega Veneta all featured ballerina updos in their Spring/Summer 2010 shows (the Zac Posen show is pictured to the left).

Add to that the plethora of pretty pinks and sweet sheer styles in the stores right now and you've got all the tools you need to look like you've just left the barre.

After the jump, see some of my favorite ballet-inspired makeup, clothing, and accessories ...

You could easily pirouette the night away in this Pas de Deux dress (ModCloth, $89.99).

Dior Nail PolishMake a point with your toe shoes -- or your pretty pink nails. This Dior Vernis Nail Lacquer in Ballet Pink (Nordstrom, $21) is lovely.

TopShop SkirtThis uneven hem chiffon skirt (Topshop, $100) makes me think of Degas' ballerina bronze.

Degas Ballerina Bronze                                                            Can't you see it? LOVE.

Ballet flatI love the whimsical simplicity of this French Connection Petrianna Ballet Pump (ASOS, $28.75).

Forever 21This romantic Ruffled Rosettes dress (, $8.99) is a dancer's dream. It may seem too skimpy for you to wear out in public, but at this price, buy it and wear it as a superbly stylish nightie!

Paula DorffSimulate the flush caused by a standing ovation from your adoring public with Paula Dorf Cheek Color in Ballet (, $20).

Zappos topAfterward, take your troupe for a night out on the town in this casual RSVP Makana top (Zappos, $70).

I love this stuff! How about you?
