At first, it seemed like a look we'd see only on the racks at Forever 21, or on certain fashionably challenged tweenagers whose mothers didn't know how to say, "Oh hell no."
But more and more, I'm spotting full-grown women wearing rompers.
Full-grown women!
Rompers!
This recent sighting was captured at Chicago's Midway Airport. Notice how the woman wearing it hangs her head in shame, as if realizing all too late how silly she looks in an outfit that would only truly work on a 4-year-old girl.
Oh romper, when will you ever go away?
Anyway, the whole romper issue brought to mind a burning question I'm sure you won't mind answering for me ...
What's the silliest trend you've fallen victim to?
I can tell you a few of mine offhand ...
- A few years ago, I bought a Von Dutch hat. I don't think I ever wore it in public.
- And stiletto sandals with socks (which I sort of liked, but y'all sure didn't!).
- And let's not forget my Backtacular (which is now in a landfill somewhere in Nashville).
You see? I don't think you can outdo me in this category, WHICH IS A GOOD THING.
So come on! Spill your dirtiest fashion secret!

Hm.....I guess it would be my Hypercolor t-shirt.....(remember those...LOL)
Hypercolor! LOL That reminded me of Panama Jack t-shirts, which apparently were a regional thing (I'm from GA) because lots of people have never heard of them. We used to get ours at t-shirt shops at the beach.
gaucho pants they maybe ugly to some but they are really comfortable.
Mom jeans! But the "cool" high-wasted ones from Urban Outfitters.
I did NOT have the torso for that one.
I also have a gold lamme leotard from American Apparel. It looked cool on the apathetic model in front of a vintage couch, but LAME on me, standing in line at the taco shack.
I too, have rocked the socks and red high heels. I liked it!
In high school, I wore Olivia Newton John headbands. I'm not sure it gets much sillier than that.
I'm LOL thinking of the gold lame leotard at the Taco Shack! :D
High Heeled sneakers back in the 70's...Shoot me now! Oh yes I did. and I am old...Heh
PICTURES!!!
The torn-neck sweatshirt a la Flashdance. I was going to say gauchos too, but since someone else said that, another (it was in junior high, so I should be forgiven) is knickers.
Please, don't ask about haircuts okay?
I wore knickers in elementary school. Although I blame my mom, since I really had no choice in the matter. :)
