I used to love Spiegel's enormous catalogs, which I pored through as a child. I actually cut out the models and used them as paper dolls!
But as an adult, I've never thought of actually buying anything from the 145-year-old mail order monolith.
Spiegel keeps popping up in my searches for fashionable clothes and accessories as one of the most affordable options out there.
This Polka Dot Silk Dress ($49), for example, is so Eva Longoria Parker meets Kim Kardashian at the Kentucky Derby. I would totally wear it.
And check out these other stylish and affordable Spiegel looks.
Spiegel CatalogSpiegel's famous catalog now is available online as well as through the mail. I liked it so much, I ordered a (free) subscription. Those of you who've been reading this blog for a while know how much I love certain catalogs to keep up with trends (J Crew, Neiman Marcus and Anthropologie all have great ones) as opposed to spending money on fashion magazines.
I featured the Boyfriend Blazer ($59) pictured above in a post copying Sarah Jessica Parker's look. It's also available in black and red. I'm also loving the red Shirred Dress ($32), also available in several other colors. And the Basketweave Bag ($89) is almost identical to one I was eyeing longingly yesterday at Bebe, which was double the price!
Spiegel.com, $49I'm also loving this Silk Tie-Front Top ($49), an excellent buy right now since gray has emerged as one of the hottest colors of the upcoming fall season.
Spiegel.com, $39I can't leave out Spiegel's shoe collection. It includes every kind of shoe you might be looking for this summer, from thongs to wedges to platform heels. Almost everything is $59 or less. I'm loving this Braded Gladiator Sandal ($39).
Spiegel.com, $34Finally, if you need a bag, Spiegel is one of the first places I'd look. They have loads of expensive-looking bags of all shapes and sizes. All are well under $100, like this Quilted Bag ($34).
What do you think of Spiegel? Have you shopped there? Would you consider it now?
