I buy swimsuit cover-ups for everyday wear!

I love cover-ups in hot weather because they're lightweight, blousy, and sheer. Worn over a cami and shorts or a slipdress, they give you a carefree, beachy look while hiding your problem areas.

Not that any of us has problem areas!

I bought this cover-up, for example, when Target released its Liberty of London line a few months ago. In early spring, I wore it with leggings. Now, I'm wearing it with black shorts. It's one of my favorite outfits.

I've added this lovely Eyelet Cover-up (Talbots, $59.50) to my wish list. It would make a great casual summer dress while out and about with the kids this summer.

Delias.com, $37.50This pretty blue Billabong Sequin Tunic Cover-Up (Delia's, $37.50) would look fantastic over a pair of cuffed khaki shorts. Love.

VictoriasSecret.com, $49I'm also partial to this eye-catching Embellished Tunic (Victoria's Secret, $49). If you don't like to show too much leg, these cover-ups also work great with slim-fitting crop pants.

Macys.com, $70I just keep coming back to stare at this gorgeous Printed Embellished Tunic (Macys.com, $70 on sale). It's got such a Lilly Pulitzer feel to it, at a fraction of the cost.

JCrew.com, $88Be creative when it comes to undergarments for these pretty cover-ups. I recently splurged on this Swann Ruffled Shirtdress (J.Crew, $88) and found a long white tank shirt (so long it easily goes to mid-thigh) to go underneath it. I'll wear this outfit all summer!
