Sex and the City outfit

I went and saw Sex and the City 2 last night (read my review), and let me tell ya, the ladies (and some men) took a cue from the characters' wardrobes.

Some were decked out in Samantha-like cocktail dresses; others had outlandish accessories that were very Carrie Bradshaw. All looked fabulous!

It makes seeing the movie with your gal pals so much more fun when you doll yourselves up. I would glam up a vintage-style dress (Carrie loved vintage) like this one from Mod Cloth, with an over-the-top headband and a glitzy clutch similar to this Steve Madden one.

And we can't forget the most important part -- the shoes! Carrie loved her Christian Louboutins, easily spotted thanks to the trademark red sole (bottom left, $925, yowza!). But us normal people cannot justify spending a grand on shoes, so these BCBG heels' price tag is a little easier to swallow at $48.
