Hot Trend: Military Chic

Designer Andreas Melbostaad's take on the military look for Spring (Phi Spring 2010 show).

Designers really seem to have our budgets in mind this season- With all the neutral pieces out there right now, it makes sense to work the military trend into the mix. Camouflage and khaki will fit right in with many of your neutrals and whites- and it's another look that never really goes out of fashion. Best of all, the military trend continues right into fall, so buy with an eye to the future.

As with the nautical trend, don't go overboard with this one. If you like the camouflage look a piece or two in your wardrobe will suffice for the season, and you can easily work a military jacket or accessory into your existing basics.
