New Find: Lands' End Canvas

Lands' End is one of my husband's favorite clothing lines and I have to admit that everything I've ever bought from Lands' End has been top notch. But I tend to buy basics there, like coats and sweaters and ski wear- It has never been the first place I've looked for the latest trends.

Well, times have changed. Lands' End has a new line out called Lands' End Canvas that has a Gap/J. Crew/Banana Republic feel, at very affordable prices. Here are a few of my favorites from the new collection.

Cardigans are all the rage this Spring/Summer (watch for an entire post here devoted to them soon), but I've been having a tough time finding quality cardigans for under $50. Enter Lands' End Canvas. These cardis are lightweight, appropriately fitted, and come in a wide range of stylish colors, from turquoise to coral to bold yellow. The price? $39.50. I'm so in.

Button-down shirts are everywhere this upcoming season, layered under tees with the sleeves rolled up, worn out as jackets or peeping out from underneath colorful blazers. Lands' End Canvas has all kinds of button-downs in every color/style you can think of, from this $39.50 poplin shirt in a trendy neutral sand (which would look great over a casual little black dress or layered under a black tee or blazer)... this sweet gingham check, which also comes in lots of different colors as well and is $39.50.

This cable knit cardigan is a perfect layering piece for Spring, a timeless look, and quite reasonable at $69.50.

And I'm drooling over the extensive swimwear collection, which features all kinds of mix and match tops and bottoms that are very, um, friendly to those of us with trouble areas we'd like to camouflage. The tops and bottoms range around $30-$35 as separates. One of you has requested a swimwear post, since Spring Break is coming up for many of us- It's in the works!

Oh, and scarves! Scarves! Lands' End Canvas has all kinds of lightweight scarves in all the popular Spring colors, including this linen blend version and an all-cotton version I also love. Both are $19.50.

But my absolute favorite piece from the collection is this $79.50 Mac Pea Coat, which is the perfect coat for Spring and forever. The only problem?

I can't decided whether I like it better in khaki or yellow!

Of course, there are also khakis and cargos and jeans and leather belts and a few cute pairs of shoes, too. What I love most about this line is that it's chock full of basics- investment pieces that will work now and in seasons to come. I haven't personally worn any of this line yet, but if it's anything like Lands' End quality, it will last for years.

If you order anything from Lands' End Canvas between now and March 9th, be sure and use the code AUTHENTIC and pin 5011 for free shipping.

And I didn't get a blooming thing for writing this post. I'm just excited that there's another affordable line of (we would assume) quality clothing to mull over as we select new items for our wardrobes.

So what do you think???
