I am low on shorts to wear for this summer, so, being the cheap thrifty gal that I am, I took some scissors to a pair of jeans that were too baggy for me (yay for weight loss!).
Snip. Snip. Snip, snip. Crap one side is way shorter. Snip, snip. Voila! I had a new(ish) pair of shorts.
Because I'm lazy, I didn't measure, I just kind of eyed it. Mistake. Take it from the dummy ... it would help if you measured. My shorts are a little shorter than I would have liked because I kept having to cut to get them to equal length. Oops. I'll have to remember to work out my legs extra hard at the gym.
After you measure, start chopping them off. Make sure your scissors are sharp or you're going to have quite the finger workout. Once you have them your desired length, throw them in the dryer to get the frayed ends.
I really don't know why I haven't done this in the past. I think the last time I wore jorts (jeans made into shorts) was when I was 7. Why buy shorts when you can just make them?
Do you ever turn jeans into shorts?
