Celebrity parents are known for giving their children names that are a bit odd and obscure, and it's always so refreshing when one of them chooses something more unexpected (like something remotely normal). Katherine Heigl and Josh Kelley recently adopted their second baby girl, and plenty of people are already buzzing about her "unusual" name.

But when I first heard what they'd chosen to call their new little bundle, I immediately recognized it as being a very old-fashioned name that is romantic, and reminiscent of a time when things in life were much more simple. I didn't think it was strange or nontraditional at all -- if anything, it's absolutely beautiful.

Since Jessica Simpson has basically had the most public pregnancy ever (EVER!), I guess it's no surprise the new mom is pimping out the very first pics of baby daughter Maxwell Drew Johnson for big dollars. BUT HOW MANY DOLLARS?! As many as Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt were paid for first shots of twins Vivienne and Knox? Nope, not $14 million. As much moulah as Jennifer Lopez scored for introductory images of twins Emme and Maximillian? Nope, not $6 million either.

Really, it's an embarrassingly small sum. A pittance! NOT.

Beautiful Victoria's Secret model Alessandra Ambrosio has given birth to her second child, a baby boy. Ambrosio already has one child, a girl, Anja. With a name like Anja, you just know that Alessandra is going to get creative. Her baby boy will probably have some kind of hippy-dippy name like Free, or Tree, or Tofu.

What's this? Alessandra and her fiance, Jamie Mazur, went with something a bit more old-fashioned? Hey, isn't this like the third celebrity in a row to give their kid a vintage name? This is getting kind of boring.

It's official! Weird Hollywood baby names like Apple and Pilot Inspektor are out, and old-fashioned names like Pearl and Gloria are in. Jack Osbourne and his fiance, Lisa Stelly, chose the first, and Maggie Gyllenhaal and husband Peter Sarsgaard chose the second.

And now there seems to be a trend towards giving girls a traditional boy name. Jessica Simpson just named her newborn daughter Maxwell Drew. And Levi Johnson, father of Sarah Palin's grandchild, is going to name his soon-to-be-born baby girl after a gun: Beretta. Okay, guns aren't male or female, really. But they're kinda mannish to me.

The world has gone mad. However, if you like the idea of giving your baby girl a boy's name, there's a place you can get some great ideas.

Ah, babies. When they arrive, it's such a time of pure joy and happiness. And some worries too. Like, will she get into college? And, speaking of college, how the hell am I going to pay for it? Colleges get more and more expensive every year! But celebrities, at least, need not worry about these mundane little details. Because celeb babies don't just cost money, they mint money! Whether or not you're a fan of Snooki's often-gawdy, usually animal print heavy, always over-the-top fashion sense, the self-described "Guidette" from Jersey Shore is definitely an unforgettable style icon of our time. And now that she's a mom-to-be, you can bet Snooki is going to have a seriously good time dressing up her new little bouncing baby meatball.

So what does Snooki style look like on a tiny tot? Well, that remains to be seen -- please, no infant spray tans, Snooks -- however, we used our imaginations to find some of the Jersey-loving style Snooki and her baby daddy Jionni might consider for their bambino or bambina on the way.

So now we know why Salma Hayek was going around willy-nilly breastfeeding orphans. (Not that there's anything wrong with that, right?) Of course it was to help save a baby -- of course! -- but Hayek also claims she was addicted to breastfeeding. She couldn't help herself, she didn't want to stop, and she kept telling herself "just one more week," but it kept on going. I actually have no idea when (if?) Salma stopped breastfeeding, and if her addiction continues, but I do find it incredibly hard to relate. Even though I know she's not the only one out there that seriously loves breastfeeding -- outside of the benefits it offers your child.
