Maybe you make your own baby food. Maybe you pick up a few jars every time you hit the supermarket. Here's something we can all agree on: moms deserve the right to know what their baby is eating. Only a bunch of baby food makers disagree; they want to keep a lead warning off the side of their eats. 

Yes, I said lead. In baby food.

Breastfeeding. It’s a personal decision. It’s the way God made mothers; it’s best for baby; blah blah blah. Look, in a perfect world, breastfeeding would be a beautiful, wonderful bonding experience for every mama out there, and we would all do it for just the perfect amount of time before creating a national scandal by nursing your preschooler on the cover of a magazine.

But it’s not a perfect world, and that’s why God gave us scientists and nutritionists to make formula. Or something. But if any of you moms-to-be out there are still wavering on the whole issue, a new discovery might influence your decision: Breastfeeding exclusively for six months significantly reduces your chances of getting cancer later in life.

Talk about a rock and a hard place. Parents of a 4-month-old baby with HIV in Minnesota have been given two choices: give their little boy drugs they fear will harm him or lose him entirely.

An easy choice? Maybe for you, but Lindsey Nagel, who passed HIV to her son, took anti-viral medication as a child, and her parents say it almost killed her. Now doctors insist the same drugs be given to her child.

In most cases, getting married is about love and family. It's a beautiful thing. Your husband or wife becomes your family and sometimes children are added to that family. And what's also beautiful is we can become moms and dads in many ways -- birth, adoption, with the help of a surrogate. I think we can all agree on that. But, sadly, we can't all agree about the rights of same-sex couples when it comes to marriage. Same-sex couples have kids. I believe same-sex couples should also be able to get married if they want to. It's about family -- it's about the kids. It's about marriage equality.

Which is why I'm thrilled the American Academy of Pediatrics came out in favor of same sex marriages. And it's about time this side of the "issue" is brought up. The AAP says it's beneficial for the children's development and mental and physical health. Why would anyone want to interfere with that? Oh wait. Is that a diss to single parents?

Leah Messer Calvert has been so mysterious about her baby's birth, we were starting to get worried. But she's finally come out with the story of baby Adalynn! The Teen Mom 2 star and her daughter got the star treatment from US Weekly with photos of the baby girl and the whole nine.

Sigh. What is it about a baby that makes everyone and their mother (literally) want to give you random pieces of advice on how you should or should not be parenting your child? Georgia mother Susanna Rohm sure wishes she did. When her 12-week-old little boy stopped breathing recently it wasn't Rohm who saved the little guy's life. Her neighbors, Rocky Hurt, 9, and Ethan Wilson, 10, had to put her through the CPR steps to bring little Isaiah back.
