It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets (PM me)—we'll never tell.
This Week's Secret:
My baby spit up on my bed. I put a towel over it and went back to sleep. I was too tired to change it in the middle of the night! — anonymous
We all have secrets and opinions—so thanks to this brave mom for sharing her honest thoughts, and thank you for keeping this conversation nonjudgmental!

HELL yes I've done this! When you have a really sick kid who is puking all the time, who is having a really hard time sleeping, this is honestly sometimes the BETTER option that pulling the kid out of the bed, and keeping them awake and up while you mess with the bed. Pee too.
When we know my son is sick, we often do it in reverse order though... cover the bed in towels and when he pukes, just remove a towel. (Now he's old enough that we give him a bowl to puke in.)
I concur, this in motherhood has to be one of the LEAST offensive 'offense' and I am pretty sure it happens to 99% of mommies. A little spit up never killed ANYONE, especially when it's covered up.
I don't think that's even confession worthy. We've all done SOMETHING like that....
Everybody needs their sleep.... you can't be a good mother with out sleep...I've done... I think that everybody does it @ one point or another
Not sure if I've ever actually done that. Probably in my sleep deprived moments but it cracked me up thinking about it.
When the kids are sick and throwing up, though, I put a towel on their bed that way if they throw up in bed I can just toss the towel and if they get it on their sheets I just toss another towel down. No point in changing the sheets just to change them again a few hours later. Usually I make them lay on the hardwood floor on the towels (or I did when they were little) now they usually stay in bed.
Just did that the other night (well, I think it was about 3 am). My daughter woke up, wanted some water, must have drank too much, and a few seconds later spit it up on my bed, so I grabbed DH's shirt (haha, it was the closest!) and wiped up what I could and then laid another of his shirts down (well, if he would stop leaving them on the chair next to the bed...) and went back to sleep. Also did it a couple weeks ago when she got a 24 hour flu bug, she needed her rest and so did I, so I wasn't about to spend lots of time cleaning up a small mess (I waited till Daddy came home to spend time with her so I could clean). Definitely not something to be ashamed about!
I'm pretty sure getting some sleep is more important than a little spit up in your bed...LOL
