Last week a woman in California gave birth in a McDonald's. Yikes! I hope they gave her some free fries when it was all over. Babies have been born on airplanes, in taxi cabs, and over toilet bowls. When I was pregnant, my fear was that I'd go into labor and not make it to the hospital (an hour away) on time. A common fear, I think. That's one of the advantages of a home birth—unless of course, you go into labor far from home.
Where were you when you went into labor? Did you make it to your chosen birthing spot on time—or was your baby born in some exotic place, like the back of a bus?
