Baby of the Week: Eisley

A weekly post to help us get to know some of our CafeMom cuties ...

Who: Eisley Elia, 5 months old, daughter of jcelis. Before Eisley's birth, I suffered an amniotic fluid embolism after having my water broken during labor. Her heart rate dropped quickly immediately afterward, so I was rushed to the OR in order for them to deliver her via emergency C-section. Luckily, she came out a completely healthy and beautiful 7 pound 7 ounce baby.

How long does she sleep at night?

She usually goes down at about 10 p.m. and isn't up until around 9 a.m. on average. Then, an hour after waking up, she'll go down for an hour or more nap and sometimes she'll take a half-hour nap before bed.

What makes her smile?

She loves people and always flashes a huge smile when strangers talk to her. She also loves smiling for her daddy.

What is her latest milestone?

She started laughing the week of Halloween but she's tough to get going, at least for me. She'll laugh so easily for her daddy and my best friend but it takes so much for me to get even a giggle out of her.

What is her fussiest time of day?

Right before bed, after she's been fed and played with for a while. She knows how to tell us she's worn out.

What will she do for a career?

I asked my husband this and he says she'll be an actress because she's a drama queen and she has such a big, outgoing personality.
