Doctors recommend no regular milk until after one year...but what about yogurt?
One mom asks in Answers, "My son is 9 months old and I was wondering if it was too soon to give him yogurt."
AmiJanell: They can have yogurt at that age and it's fine. It's not the same as milk for couple of reasons. It's a more broken-down form so it's easier to digest... and it's also not in place of breastmilk or formula.
TiccledBlue: You're not supposed to give milk before a year without the doctor's guidance. That's different than dairy products......milk is a dairy product, but not all dairy products are milk. Yogurt and cheese are okay as long as there has been no sensitivities. If you're breastfeeding and drinking milk/eating dairy products or giving a milk-based formula....it's fine.
What age did you start giving yogurt to your baby? Did you give them plain or flavored? Regular or fat-free?

10 month old
I think it was around 10 months, he loved the the baby organic yogurt, I forget what its called now, but he looves yogurt now. Vanilla is his favorite :) He eats whatever yogurt I am eating and smacks his lips.
I started my dd at about 9ish months but I can't swear by it. I gave her the Yo Baby brand and sometimes would do the one with cereal in it. They have DHA and ARA added to them so it was an added bonus. She loved them, but could careless now, there are better foods out there now that she's eating
At 6 months old. MJ loved it!
We waited until after the one year mark for all dairy products. Weren't worried about introducing it early because I BF for 15 months.
I used to eat yogurt alot when i was pregnant with my baby and after i had the baby because i have always loved yogurt. I started letting him taste yogurt when he was 6 months old because he used to try to grab the go-gurt pack out my hand and he loved it. Now he is 23 months old and still loves it. i was scared because i knew he couldnt have milk products at that age, but i risked it. He started drinking regular milk when he was 11 months old so that when he turned 12 months old i wouldnt have a problem with him liking milk and all milk products are his favorite.
I started my 2 girls when they were 9 months old on Organic yo baby yogurt .
