An Indonesian mom recently gave birth to a 19.2-pound baby boy. No, that's not a typo. Close to 20 pounds!
I guess I'll never again complain about giving birth.
The new baby was 8.7-kilos and 62 centimetres (24.4 inches) long. For obvious reasons, he was born via Caesarean section earlier this week in North Sumatra province.
The mom's OB/GYN Binsar Sitanggang said, "This heavy baby made the surgery really tough, especially the process of taking him out of his mum's womb. His legs were so big."
Sounds like mom has diabetes, but this is the only child of four that she delivered in a hospital. And I'm happy to report that this little heavyweight baby (here's a photo of the giant baby boy) is healthy and very very hungry.
Did your baby tip the scales? How much did he/she weigh at birth?

Mine was 7 pounds 12 ounces...my mom had an 11 pound 5 ounce baby, vaginally with no pain killers, bless her. I couldnt imagine trying to birth a close to 20 pound child...that would be...
ouch.
Mine was 7 pounds 8 ounces, but she was born 6 weeks early. I did have gest. diabetes.
Dude, that's what my oldest weighed at 2 years old, lol (she was tiny, she's 9 now and only weighs 45lbs).
My biggest baby was my son at 9lbs 3oz.
20 pounds! My daughter is only 15 pounds heavier at 4 years old. Oh, the backache that mom must have ...
OH MY GOODNESS!!! I thought my belly was big with my 8.15 baby!! I couldnt imagine having that thing inside me, my 13 month old is 22 lbs, so only 3 lbs bigger!!
HOLLY COW I saw that baby on yahoo LOL he looks like he is a year old. I guess he dint got to wear newborn clothes. Although I make SUPER HUGE bellies during my pregnancies and have constants ultrasound to see if I have triplets or twins I only give birth to one at the time and my kids always are born with low weight I don't know why LOL. My DD weight 6lbs and my son 5lbs and 10oz. Yes my kids are small and skinny but they get fat after birth hehehehe. That woman must have suffer that pregnancy A LOT. I wont complain next time I got preggo hahahahaha. When my son was born I saw a woman that had gave birth after me and she had a 11lbs baby he look HUGE I cant imagine a 19lbs baby. God bless him.
and i thought 9.6 was big. I'm never complaining again.
