In case you were wondering, Parents magazine came up with a baby-by-the-numbers list of everything that happens in your infant's first year. I just wonder how they counted all this stuff ...
Hours reading to your newborn -- 122
Miles strolled with baby -- 503
Smiles flashed by your sweetie -- 61,000
Inches grown -- 10
Hours of lost sleep -- 1,440
Diapers changed -- 3,120
Bottles filled -- 2,460
Any of these numbers not seem right to you? What are you doing differently?

Well, no bottles, for one.
Also, co-sleeping/nursing moms get a lot more sleep than formula-feeding, crib sleeping moms (not an insult, just a fact).
The amount you walk is going to vary person-to-person, and I'd LOVE to think that people would read AT LEAST that much... but that's probably an average between people who don't read AT ALL, and people who read a ton.
I breastfeed so she rarely has bottles. Sometimes she'll have a bottle with pumped milk if I leave her w/ the in-law's for a couple of hours, which is rare.
I love the smile stat the most. :)
I got lucky with my DD. I formula fed her and she slept through the night from day one.
I was the complete opposite on cosleeping. I slept horribly with him in the bed. I think it made me nervous. Maybe i am just weird!
she rarely has a bottle because i breastfeed and i'm guilty of not really read to the baby. i have but not often. im curious to know if other moms actually read to their babies regularly.
Breastfeeding and Co sleeping definitly helps you get more zzzzzz's......I probably could read to my baby more but she loses interest so fast it just doesn't last long...she would rather pet the kitty kitty. How about bottles wasted??... as my baby almost always refuses to take one and will only take one from me!
i have been reading harry potter to my baby since he was born...i usually read while he is nursing...i'm not sure if he actually enjoys it but since i spend almost 10 hours a day breastfeeding i figure i might as well do something helpful for the baby while i'm doing it..i have read reading to them early on in life helps them communicate better later
not that many bottles in this house, otherwise everythings good
