Over at the Home & Garden Buzz, Cafe Sheri wrote about an amazing Japanese Maple mobile. Go check it out—it's gorgeous! It made me think about the origami crane one that my mother-in-law made for my baby (shown here). It's really vibrant and my daughter loves it. I like it because it's something that I plan to give her when she's older, a different sort of keepsake from her Grandma. We also took a video of my mother-in-law while she was making it so the baby will have that too.

Thats awsome! I have to say my fav. thing in my baby girl's room has to be the blanket that my grandma (her Great grandma!!) made. something special that she will always have.
I cannot make those origami cranes. We need instructions. That's gorgeous.
My favorite nursery item was the crib tent. My little one climbed out of the crib several times. I was afraid he would be loose in the house and manage to get outdoors during the night.

I'd have to say it's my son's mobile. It's from the Wendy Bellissimo Petite Safari collection, and it's SO sweet. it's got a giraffe, elephant, monkey, and lion that look like they were hand knit. It plays a pretty unique little song, too. Maybe I just like it so much because my husband lays him the crib and tells him what sound each animal makes, SO cute!
Ooh, otherwise my glider! It was super expensive but SO comfy!
