Does age matter?

Elizabeth Adeney, a 66-year-old British woman, gave birth to a healthy 5 pound, 3 ounce baby boy this week, making her the oldest woman in Britain to give birth. Three years ago, a 62-year-old woman also had a baby boy.

Fertility clinics in England refuse to treat women over fifty so Adeney traveled to the Ukraine for IVF treatments.

There have been a wide range of reactions to the news reports of someone of her age having a baby. Some folks say. "This baby is loved and wanted and that's the most important issue here." Others call Adeney "selfish" and "stupid."

What do you think? Should there be an age limit on fertility treatments? Why or why not?
