I had fun perusing this "Parenting Products That Make You Do a Double-Take" feature over on iVillage, which includes the TummyTub pictured above.
The TummyTub is a baby bath, designed in the Netherlands, that replicates the womb for baby. Plus, it saves water for baths because of its small size. But it's kind of like an ordinary bucket too. That's why it makes me say, "Hmmm...."
The iVillage list also includes such "hmmm"-inducing baby items as the Peekaru, Zaky Hand Pillows, and the Babykeeper.
Here's a CafeMom discussion about TummyTubs in The CafeMom Newcomers Club.

Uhh... it's a bucket. Toss out your mop water and toss in a baby LOL...
The others are just whack. Everyone wants to make a buck, I guess.
Ok, I just went to the iVillage link. Wow. Just... wow.
The Kickbee? Seriously??
the kickbee I thought was actually kinda cute but hang your baby from the stall door (SCARY), scooter/skateboard stroller (WHAT!!!!) and the pee-pee teepee (seriously if you can remember the teepee you can remember a towel, point it down, keep the diaper over the area whatever for free.
The breastfeeding hat may be a really cool idea too, depending on how baby feels about it, seems ALOT better than covering with a blanket etc. that I could never quite get right and my kids HATED, not too mention I was terrified of suffacting them.
yup..its just an ordinary bucket...hmmm
ok.....the tummy tub and the peekaru are just really odd!!!!......lol....i could never use the babykeeper.....i'd pee myself before i could them strapped in and hung up!.....lol....i've seen the zaky hands before.....they were actually designed to use in nicu's for when parents, nursing staff or volunteers can't be there to hold the babies
Some of those things are just crazy. The things some people come up with.
My son saw the picture of the babies in all the "tummy tubs" and he said "Why are those babies in bowls?" LOL Oh everytime I see that pic I crack up laughing.
I saw these tubs on the Today show. Someone stuffed their twins in it, too. Seems just too uncomfortable. Younger babies? Sure- but my little girl, 10 months old, enjoys bathing with her big sister and splashing around. I saw a heavy/chunky baby in one of these and I wondered how you were suppose to reach down into the bucket to clean their bottoms, feet, and legs.
LOL The Daddle. I have to show that to DH
All I have to say is WOW! Some of those things are kinda creepy!
