Green Baby Blogs I Love: Ecorattle, Inhabitots, and Healthy Organic Baby

green guide

If you're looking for good green information and products for babies, there are a lot of sites out there, but these are three of my favorites. I like them because they're smart, fun, informative, and best of all, they don't make you feel guilty or stupid if you're not an eco queen.

"All that's shakin in green baby news."

The weblog: Ecorattle

The background: Michael d'Estries is the co-founder of another great site, ecorazzi  (the go-to place for celebrity gossip with a green twist). He has a five-month-old son, Indiana, and he recently launched Ecorattle to help other parents interested in raising their kids in an environmentally friendly way.

What you'll find there: Daily blog posts by Michael on all kinds of green stuff for babies, kids—and their parents. There's eco news, giveaways, product reviews, celebrity baby gossip (of the green variety), and more.

"Sustainable design for the next generation"

The weblog: Inhabitots

The background: Jill Fehrenbacher, a green designer and the founder of Inhabitat (where you'll find green goodies for grown-ups), launched Inhabitots in the summer of 2008, in preparation for the arrival of her first baby (who also arrived last summer). Jill understood that the birth of a child is often the impetus for many people to "go green" so she created Inhabitots as a resource for those parents.

What you'll find there: Reviews of, ideas for, and giveaways of all kinds of eco-friendly, crave-worthy clothes, toys, furniture, and more for babies, toddlers, and kids. The blog posts are written by Jill and other members of the Inhabitots staff who are all moms and dads trying to live a green lifestyle in a gorgeous way.
