It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets—we won't tell.
This Week's Secret:
"Before I got pregnant my husband and I used to hang out at our local bar all the time. When our son was born everyone there wanted to meet him so we brought him to the bar with us when he was just a month old." —anonymous
We all have secrets and opinions—so thanks to this brave mom for sharing her honest thoughts, and thank you for keeping this conversation nonjudgmental!

IF PPL WANT TO MEET MY SON THEY GOTTA COME , SPECIALLY FROM AN ENVIROMENT LIKE DAT , DRINKIN ANS SMOKING INVOLVED , NO THANK YOU !
Children have no business being in a bar. Period. I live in a small town and have a bar I go to (where I know everyone) but neither of my children have (or ever will) step a foot in that bar until they are 21. My friends ask about my kids and I bring out the phone and show pics. If they wanna see my kids they know where I live. It's too smokey, you have crazy drunk ppl everywhere...and what are you gonna do if a fight breaks out?!? It's not gonna matter that there's a child there. I think it's very iresponsible.
It wasn't weird to take my baby to a bar, I had my baby shower in that same bar!
The last thing I want when I go to a bar is a crying baby...as a matter of fact...the last thing I need is a crying baby anywhere I go for leisure at night. The movies, the bar, the restaurant...if you need to go out get a darn babysitter. If you can't afford one you can't affford to go out either.
If the place is a local hangout where everyone knows everyone then what's the harm in taking your little one there to met your friends?
As soon as my son is old enough where I feel comfortable taking him out my fiance and I will be stopping by a few bars to visit friends and introduce him.
That being said these are non-smoking places and we won't be drinking of course, but there's nothing wrong in stopping by!
