I didn't register for a glider before my baby shower. I didn't really like the way they looked, they're pretty expensive, and I didn't think I'd use it. I had a rocking chair that had been in my family for years and I thought that would do. I was so wrong.

The rocking chair was too small and very uncomfortable, and I was breastfeeding round the clock. My husband quickly bought me a used glider on Craigslist and it was heaven. It's ugly as can be (I put a cute cover on it), but it was cheap and it is the most comfortable chair I've ever been in. I lived in it for about three months, and I still use it every day and night to feed my baby. It's definitely worth the investment.
If you don't have a glider yet, you should consider getting one—it will change your life. Check out Cafe Sheri's picks for nice-looking, less-expensive gliders or enter this sleeping baby photo contest for a chance to win a Luca Glider from Monte Design (it's worth about $1,000!).
