When your baby is teething there are several things you can try to alleviate his pain: Sophie the Giraffe, Hyland's Teething Tablets, and now there's also the Baby Vibe Je Je Therapeutic Teether. It's a battery-operated plastic teething ring that vibrates and massages your baby's gums. Baby Vibe says the plastic is "safe for children" although it doesn't specify whether the teether is free of phthalates and bisphenol-A. The Je Je Therapeutic Teether comes in two colors—pink and blue. It's $9.95 at Je Je Teether.
Have you tried it? Would you try it? How do you soothe your baby's teething pain?

Well I dont think Id try this one...but I did get a vibrating teether for my baby shower made by the 1st years, and It was probablly only a couple bucks.
I haven't tried that particular one, but we have one that's shaped like a star and has a little handle on it. Connor HATES it. He hates anything that vibrates, even his bouncy chair.
We had one that was intended to vibrate when it was bitten. You had to bite it SO hard that my son couldn't do it! He loved the vibration, so we'd have to sit there, hurting our fingers from squeezing so hard, to make it vibrate.
So, some babies may like it, but MAKE SURE it vibrates very easily!
I'd prefer to get one that doesn't just say "safe" but specifies WHY it's safe, though.
Oh, and by the way... I'd retitle this "Vibrating Teether." *cough*
I'm undecided, i would have to research more into this and see how safe it really is. And to be honest, i never heard of a vibrating teether prior to this post.. How neat!
I got a vibrating teething toy for my daughter at walgreens for around $4 or $5 - probably the same one SamanthaAgain has- with a handle and a star. My daughter LOVES it and will chew on it even when she's not teething...and she's almost two!!
