It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new
baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all
the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets—we
won't tell.
This Week's Secret:
"I took my son to the doctor for his 2-week checkup and when the receptionist asked me his name, I froze. I wanted to cry because I couldn't remember. Total "mommy brain!" —anonymous
We all have secrets and opinions—so thanks to this brave mom for sharing her honest thoughts, and thank you for keeping this conversation nonjudgmental!

I put yes but really I always mispell his name, it's Khaled and I always spell it Kahled. But only when i'm "writing" it, if I type it I'm fine. But it always takes me second. One time I had to ask my bro in law, that was embarressing, but we laugh about it now, :)
At 2 weeks old I am sure you weren't getting any sleep not to mention all the hormones going through your body! Poor thing, nothing to be ashamed of.
i have done that a few times lol! i have called my son Jayden (my brothers name) a few times and his REAL name is Jason.
Forgetting and having a brainfart are two different things! I would never forget my DD's name unless I had some sort of head trauma and developed amnesia or something! I call my DD by my dog Punky's name and vice versa.
I was yelling at my dog for peeing in my son's room [he has it out for that boy cause he's use to being the center of attention lol] and occasionally when it happens I almost call my son my dog's name, BUT I stop in the middle if saying it because I realized what I was saying lol
I sometimes mix up my daughters names but I have never forgotten their names.
