It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new
baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all
the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets—we
won't tell.
This Week's Secret:
"I took my son to the doctor for his 2-week checkup and when the receptionist asked me his name, I froze. I wanted to cry because I couldn't remember. Total "mommy brain!" —anonymous
We all have secrets and opinions—so thanks to this brave mom for sharing her honest thoughts, and thank you for keeping this conversation nonjudgmental!

ALEXIA NO CLAUDIA NO JOSEPH FORGET IT I GIVE UP COME HER BRING THE BABY WHO EVER IS LISTINING LOL HAHA THAT IS ME ALWAYS
I forget her birthday all the time. 8 months old and born on the 4th of July. You'd think that would be easy to remember O,o
When my first was born I used to mix his name up with my half-brother. I spent so much time caring for him, he was the center of my world before I got pregnant, so after Tristan was born I sometimes slipped up and called him by my brothers name
I had a different name picked out for my son before he was born, and once he was born and he looked just like my father, I changed his name to Glenn -- for the first 6 months of his life, I kept calling him Kieran!
hehehe.. I had to laugh at this.. after 8 kids I am doing well to remember MY own Name.. no wait I forgot.. ummm, errr, uh Oh That's right it is MOM.
Ya that's def. normal in the hospital my bf was filling out the forms for our son and he put his name he had to start all over. My biggest problem is trying to remember how to spell it.
when I had my son, I was filling out the birth certificate and not only misspelled his first name but the middle name too. I did not realize it until I got the hospital pictures and I must have misspelled it there too, because I didn't think it looked right. I had the nurse get a baby name book and call the records people and the picture lady all back to my room so I could make sure it was changed to the right name! It was so embarrassing!
Don't worry...lol sometimes when you're a new mom, you can get anxiety about answering questions just right and I guess you could have a brain fart...I did that with my son's birthday when he was a baby, because all of our birthday's were back to back..lol
I call my son my hubbys name all the time
It wasn't such an issue with DD, but when DS was born I had an 18 month old, AND a newborn, and couldn't keep them straight! Now 9 months later, I totally forget my son's middle name, even though it's the same as DH's.
