I had a great pregnancy. I ate a lot. I slept a lot. I was excited to meet my baby and I couldn't wait to see what she looked like, but I wasn't in such physical discomfort that I was dying for my pregnancy to be over. I could have kept going—for a while at least. There were two things I didn't like: when the baby had the hiccups, and this weird kicky thing she'd do so it felt like her foot was coming out of my crotch. I still don't know what that was about.
But despite everything being so great, I'm so sure if I'd be psyched to be pregnant again. Have another baby? In a heartbeat. But I don't know if i'm ready to go through another nine months of pregnancy. Then this list of 20 Reasons You'll Miss Being Pregnant reminded me of all the perks. Here are a few:
1. Having a secret
2. Smiles from strangers
3. That rosy glow
5. Upping your calorie intake
6. Upping your calorie intake—without guilt
7. Having longer, thicker hair
8. Having pregnancy as an excuse for anything and everything
9. Never being alone
10. Taking part in the miracle of life
I think #10 makes it all worthwhile!
Do you miss being pregnant? What did you like about it? What didn't you like?
