A few weeks ago, I asked you if you would breastfeed a friend's baby and most of you said you would. But would you breastfeed a stranger's baby? What if the baby was sick? That's what Salma Hayek did on a recent trip to Sierra Leone.
Salma was in Africa on a UNICEF mission to raise awareness for tetanus in partnership with Pampers, when she met a sick one-week old baby who was obviously very hungry and whose mother was unable to breastfeed. So Salma breastfed him.
"The mother didn't have milk," says Salma. "He was very hungry. I was weaning Valentina, but I still had a lot of milk that I was pumping, so I breast-fed the baby. You should have seen his eyes. When he felt the nourishment, he immediately stopped crying."

Go Selma! I think this is AMAZING!
Good for her!!
I would, it's a poor starving, defenseless baby!!!!
Abso-freaking-lutely.
She is amazing!! What a wondeful thing to do for a needy infant.
Wow--I think this is just huge. I also think it's huge that a number of you mommies would do the same thing! (I would too. :))
Good for her!
If I could breastfeed, I would. I have a medical condition that can be passed on through breast milk, I might make that child sicker than he already was! But if I didnt have it, heck yah, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Go Salma!
I think she is amazing for what she did...
For various reasons I didn't breastfeed Kailee (I was on too many pain meds and really high doses so I chose not to) but I would if I were breastfeeding.... because NO baby deserves to starve.
