It's hard being a new mom (or even an experienced mom to a new
baby) and sometimes we do things we know we shouldn't, despite what all
the experts say. But this is a safe place to share your secrets—we
won't tell.
This Week's Secret:
"Whenever a mom shows me a picture of her baby who's around the same age as mine, I always say, 'Oh, how cute!' but half the time I'm thinking more along the lines of 'Yuck! My baby is way cuter than that!'" —anonymous
We all have secrets and opinions—so thanks to this brave mom for sharing her honest thoughts, and thank you for keeping this conversation nonjudgmental!

When I was pregnant with my daughter my friend told me I would never know if my baby was ugly. She said all Mom's think their baby is cute. She said she could never tell me if the baby was ugly so we had a code. If she did not think my daughter was cute she was going to say "wet leaves are slippery". But once my daughter was born, I told my hubby it did not matter what she said when she got there because she would be wrong. My daughter was the cutest little girl EVER. Hee hee
I can honestly say that my 1st daughter was not a cute newborn but she quickly turned into the prettiest baby and little girl
I know my daughter is cute b/c i get stopped by lots of people and they tell me so I know its not just me. On the other hand though I have a cousin who's baby is almost 3 months and SHE looks just like her grandpa does, how he looks right now. when she sends pictures I'll just make a comment on her expression or outfit, or how big she is getting...
I've always felt newborns were ugly, mine included. And, I have no problem thinking other babies are not cute but I will not say it. Also, I know that I love my son and he is the cutest in my eyes: but not everyone thinks so. And that's ok, too!
I think becoming a mom has made me biased. My little girl is beautiful, but a big shock to me and DH since she was born...there are a lot of ugly babies out there.
A lof of moms stop to tell me that my kids are cute. One day I was driving down a 4 lane and my kids was in the back there was a car next to me and she motioned me to roll down the window just to tell me that I have cute children.
I don't lie about it, but I never tell a mom her kid is ugly. I'd say, "Wow, look at all that hair!" or "She has adorable fingers!"
I would never tell another mother I thought her child was ugly! That's just terrible--even if I did think it! (Which I'll be honest I have)
I truly think that no baby is a beautiful as my Alaina is. And I know that I am biased because she's mine but who doesnt think that?
I could never tell another mom that her baby is ugly. Even though its a lie, it is a lie I will continue to tell.
This reminds me of the "Ugly baby" Seinfeld episode, lmao!
