When you were pregnant did people always ask whether you wanted a girl or a boy? How did you respond? Some women say, "Yes," or "I don't care, I just want a healthy baby."
But some women know what they want and are happy to say it: a girl that they can dress in cute clothes and bond with over girlie things later in life. Or a son because boys are "easier to raise" and they're supposed to love their moms more than girls do.
How about you? Did you want a boy or a girl? Why? What did you have?

I wanted a girl because we have only all boys in the family so I thought it would be nice to bring a girl into the family and of course the cute dresses. But I guess it didnt matter either way as long as he or she was healthy is really all that matters and I had a boy!! LOL
wow, everything stated in this is soo true all i heard when i said i wanted a girl was "boys are "easier to raise" and they're supposed to love their moms more than girls do."... and mabye thats true. i know i was such a pain to my mom growing up and we fought constantly but now were closer than ever and i couldnt love her more. so i hope that i dont have to go through all that with my daughter but if i do i hope our relationship turns out like my mothers and mine.
I wanted a boy and i knew it was a boy my gut feeling was screaming boy so even before we found out the sex, i had purchased boy clothes and decorated the nursery for a boy...and i got my baby boy haha
ya when i was pregnant for the 5th time i had already three girls and one boy but i still wanted a girl i wasalready thinking pink and ribbons but all my kids and hubby wanted a boy even after the ultrasound i was still wishing for a girl but know i have a beatifule baby boy named jonathan and he is so handsome
i wanted girls both times. i raised two of my nephews. so i already had my boys.
by the way i had two girls.
I wante boys both times. I have a boy and a girl and I couldn't be happier! I really thought I didnt' want a girl but I was so wrong!
I am definitely hoping for a girl!! I have wanted a girl first for as long as I can remember. I love all the cute little girl clothes and dresses and just everything girly. I feel like if I get a girl I'll spend WAY too much money on clothes because they are just SO darn cute!
I'm only 7w4d so I won't know for a really long time!
Of course, it's a given that we all want healthy and happy babies. We wanted a girl because my husband already had two sons and we had custody of them so we thought it would be nice to have a girl. We had a boy and, of course, it makes no difference in the long run. He is healthy and happy!
first time i didn't really care, I just wanted a baby lol.... but we just knew it was a girl, and bought some little dresses and never had an U/S everyone else kept saying it was going to be a boy... but the dresses got used :) second time kinda wanted a boy, but kinda wanted a girl- cause i already had girls stuff.... got a boy, third time i had one of each so it didn't matter and I got a girl, fourth time we wanted another boy you know to even it out lol.... but were more than happy to find out we were having a third girl :)
