I was too nervous to fly when I was pregnant so there was no chance of me going into labor in the air. But that very thing happened the other day on an 8-hour flight from Europe to Massachusetts.
A woman went into labor and gave birth to a healthy baby girl—with the help of a doctor and a paramedic who were on board. For customs purposes, the baby was considered a Canadian citizen since it was delivered over Canada.
Having a baby is scary enough. I can't imagine how nerve-wracking it must have been to give birth on a plane! (The news didn't say how many weeks pregnant she was.)
Were you worried about where you might end up giving birth? What was your biggest fear?
