Sure we all want our baby's bottom to be as soft as, well, a baby's bottom. And there's no shortage of creams and powders designed to do the trick, but after you hear this recent study's findings, you might want to avoid using talcum powder.
The study, done by experts at Harvard Medical School, found that women who use it every day are 40 percent more likely to develop ovarian cancer. And scarily, the findings applied only to talcum powder used around the private parts not the rest of the body, which is exactly the spot where a lot of mamas like to powder their babies when changing their diapers. If you use talc and you're worried, the researchers say that cornstarch powder is a good, safe alternative.
