Congratulations to former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, who is now a Grand Mama! Her 18-year-old daughter, Bristol Palin, gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday in Palmer, Alaska. He weighed in at 7 lbs., 4oz.
Bristol and the baby's father, Levi Johnston, named their new addition Tripp Easton Mitchell Johnston. I wonder if they used CafeMom's new Baby Name Finder?
Okay, Baby Mamas, let's hear it: What do you think of the name?

I think Naming her child after an Uncle that is so special an close to him was a very sweet thing to do. If their famly is anything like ours, who uses the real names except when somebody gets yelled at, graduates, or becomes lost:)
My beautiful GRANDdaughter is "Punkernikel" to me me. Ava is beautiful, just one sily day I looked at her and "my little Punkernikel" came out, and of course stuck! Both of my children have family names as middles, as do my daughter's kids. The f irst grand boy has 3 names because we didn't want to dishonor either paternal sides, Hence Ty Edward Paul. So there ya have it...Go Bristol! And welcome Tripp Easton Mitchell!
Nice name & I'm so glad she delivered a healthy baby boy! Blessings to the family!
I kind of love it. I love different names but maybe that's because I'm a Michele and there were so many with my name when I was growing up.
i dont like then all together it doesnt flow
i LOVEEEE that name. if i ever have a son, i'm naming him tripp!
I am just glad that is not my child cause that name is just way out there. Long and does not flow togather. I think if there is someone in your family that you want to name your child after because of the way they mean to you just chose one of the names not the whole thing. The kid has to live with that name alot longer than the mother has to so pick a name that the kid wont get laughed at. Like my husband wanted to name one of our boys Xeavier and I said not as the main name because I do not want my kid being laughed at. So we comprimised. Wow what a name.
I like it! I grew up with a kid named Trip, that was actually his nickname he was the 3rd or something and triple shortened they called him Trip.
Trip is usuallly a nickname for a '3rd'. Like John David Smith III. I personally don't think it's a good stand alone name. But it is just a name.
I LOVE IT!!! MY brother and his wife ..are consider Tripp and Rider for there boys..or Cope and Hagen..but they are Ranchers..ya know some of them Texas breeds!!!!!! But anyways Tripp is a cute name..as far as the rest dunno but that...
It makes me happy, reminds me of watching Star Trek (Enterprise) with my DH when we were dating. I will always picture any "Tripp" as a cute Southern guy, but that's the only time I ever heard the name before so it stuck tight. Enterprise wasn't a popular show, so only Trekkies will have that immediate knee-jerk reaction.
