This morning I started to take down my decorations, including all the Christmas cards with my friends' baby photos and I wasn't sure what to do with them. I could throw them away or save them for next year. But then it occurred to me, I could use them to make great gifts for my friends.
I hit an after-holiday sale at the mall and bought some little photo albums. I'm going to make one photo album for each mom and put her Christmas card in it every year. Then I'll present her with the album containing all her Christmas photos in oh, say, ten or 18 years! I just hope the same people keep sending me cards!

I keep all cards, holiday, birthday, anniversary. I just enjoy them! I have been doing this for 10 years now, I have a lot of cards. One day I will do something with them, but for now they are great to "come across" on a rainy day and relive some fun memories :D
I cut the photo's off (or take them out of the ones that just have a pic. in a card) and I throw the cards away...I keep them only if they have a special note in them- which none of them ever do...no one has time to write at this time of year

That is an awesome idea. I keep my cards and use them as part of the decorations the next years. Some cards I cut out the front or pictures. I have used them to make a "tree" on my front door or to make ornaments for the tree or to hang in front window. Picture cards, I do keep in an album because they are my friends kid's and I don't really consider them to be cards.
I had no idea about the St judes ranch. I already started to make a beautiful scrapbook. I rec'd alot of cards from other moms on cafemom & wanted a nice way to remeber them ♥

We save them and make them into gift cards the following year. We've been doing it for years, and it's fun to see the notes from the previous year.
