I've got a Christmas Baby. She was due on Christmas Eve, and she arrived on December 23. I know that's not the best day to have a birthday. I know it will be hard to plan a birthday party around the holidays. I know it will be hard to make her feel special at that time of year.
People ask me all the time, "Can't you do math?" "Are you going to rip her off with presents?" Um, yes I can do math (well, basic math anyway), and no I'm not going to rip her off—in fact, I'll probably overcompensate the other way. I want very much for her birthday to feel special.
Yes, I "planned" my baby. I didn't know for sure I'd get pregnant that April but I was trying. Would it have been better if I got pregnant another month? Maybe, but it didn't happen that way. I just feel incredibly lucky she's here at all.
The other day, my friend Cafe Melisa in the Pregnancy Buzz asked, "Would you be induced early so you could celebrate the holidays?" I didn't. My doctor wanted to so I wouldn't be in the hospital on Christmas, but I wanted my baby to come when she was good and ready.

I tried to plan my first baby. I worked out when to start 'trying' and was really pleased when I fell pregnant early on with a late February due date. She, on the other hand, had her OWN agenda and arrived 7 1/2 weeks early on January 4th. I've done my best to make sure HER celebrations are separate from Christmas but it's hard because it's Summer here in Australia and lots of her friends go away then.
My second baby was not planned at all - she is the happy result of Contraceptive failure. She arrived on her due date of April 17th.

My first wasn't planned she popped out of 4th of july. After starting on the 3rd she just decided to hang out for a while. My second was also not planned he decided he wanted to come out the second of february then changed his mind and came out on leap year. This next one is due the 18th of july but I have a feeling she/he will wait for like national pancake day or some other holiday. I say if you have a baby on a holiday it is all the better. They come when they want to not because you want them to. Congrats on your christmas baby I think that is awesome.
neither of my babies were planned. my first was born during the first part of my husbands deployment. my second was made as soon as he got back and born just after we moved across the country..not fun to do when ur huge and pregnant and have to stop every hour.
We didn't try to plan when he would be born, but he wasn't "unplanned". We waited until hubby had been at his new job for awhile to secure the good benefits and make sure we were covered by unemployment if he were fired. It tok a couple of months of trying as well.
I am not a planner by nature, but I thought I might be married longer before kids. My son was our "honeymoon souvenir". And I was on the pill!! We celebrated our 2 month anniversary with a positive EPT test. Then he arrived 8 weeks early! My second child was conceived when our son was only 13 mos. old. We were both stunned and worried. She delivered at 38 weeks and was just fine. Both kids are now happy and healthy! And God knew I'd be terrible to live with if I actually tried to get pregnant.
None of my babies were planned and I have three that are literally within a week of each other and one who is on my birthday one who is the day after my birthday one the week before my birthday one on my cousin's birthday and one the day after my great grandmother's birthday. Can't wait to see when this baby comes

Nope. Neither baby is planned. Becka's birthday is JAn 15. 16 days before her dads and this new baby will be born in may, which is when my birthday is lol.. it just worked out that way haha.
