Gwen Stefani Breastfeeds in Public -- Get Over It People! (PHOTO)

Celeb breastfeeding selfies are all the rage these days. And they are ALL great because, let's face it, the more images we see of women nursing their babies, the more normal the act seems in the eyes of the public. In other words, there's no such thing as a bad breastfeeding photo.

With that said, some bf'ing shots simply knock one out of the park -- and Gwen Stefani did just that when she posted this amazing, ethereal photo of herself feeding baby Apollo while on the road.

I'll save my gushing until after you get a glimpse at this heavenly image. And here it is:

Sigh ... Gwen with her hair up in a bun as if she doesn't care whether or not she's beautiful, which somehow makes her look even more amazing. Gwen barefoot and holding Apollo in front of a mountain in Switzerland. Every single thing about this picture is perfection -- but what I love most of all is that it isn't a glam shot, which is just what the world needs.

Oh, don't get me wrong, there are few things more glamorous than a Swiss alpine backdrop, but hey, exotic travel is routine for the singer. What makes this shot truly fabulous is the fact that Gwen is just being Gwen, and in this case, she's being the Gwen who stops on the side of the road to nurse her baby and kick off her damn shoes because why the heck not?

I loved Miranda Kerr's breastfeeding photo because she looked like a painting. Glam nursing shots are works of art, in my opinion, and there's certainly a place for them in society. But if our motive is to normalize breastfeeding and make everyone feel more comfortable with doing it in public, women who look perfectly polished and are posing like goddesses aren't going to hit home with most of us the way this photo of Gwen will. Let's hope we see more like this one.

Do you prefer Gwen's photo to glam breastfeeding shots?

She isn't really in public. It looks more like they pulled over to the side if the road for whatever reason. And she is doing it with modesty and respect. She is covered and not looking to make a scene.

Looks like she's using a cover? Which so many moms find offensive if somebody asks them too. So not sure what point this article is trying to make with this picture...

Gwen can do no wrong - she is amazing. Awesome performer, beautiful starlet, cool chick, great mom and everything else I'd love to be in a future life. Great pic.

I really don't understand this issue people have with breastfeeding. I breastfeed all 4 of my children, and it didn't matter where I was or what I was doing. I feed my babies on demand no schedule, and nobody even knew what I was doing. There is a trackful way in bf'ing your babies, and it is the best for the baby. So we as mothers want to do the best for our children, and as long as you are discreet in nursing your baby then there should be no issue, and if you can't nurse discreetly then maybe somewhere private would be better it sounds like. For me I don't care where I am if a mom needs to bf then you do it. I've been out with my daughter when their babies were bf, and I would help them latch the baby discreetly. Then continue our shopping or what ever we were doing, and you didn't see anything except a cover over them. I really don't get this upset on this issue. Women have been nursing for years and will continue for years to come. I don't care if you are an actress or not you are still a mom with rights to feed the baby. My children are grown, and I see moms bf in stores. The only one that had ever bothered me was a lady who had her whole breast exposed to bf in public. I never said anything it looked very bad, but I just didn't look again. I've seen women bf that if you didn't know what she was doing you would never know she was bf'ing her baby. This is the natural way to feed our children so I don't get way this big controversy over this issue all the time.

I love the way you can't tell she is breastfeeding, as it should be.  If EVERYONE would be descrete and respectful of OTHERS then there wouldn't be all his hoop-la over breastfeeding.  I did it with two of my girls, no one every knew I was breastfeeding and the only thing ever said to be was a kind older woman who asked if she could help me with the blanket on my shoulder because it was slipping.  The blanket thing was with my second child and with my fourth I had learned to breastfeed without one using a tank top and a tshirt and nursing bra and people STILL didn't know!

I breastfed both my kids. I respected myself and others by using a nursing cover when i did it in public! Yo can't even tell if quen is breastfeeding. I couldn't care less. Breastfeeding mothers need to get over it. OMG!! its such a big deal that a mother is breastfeeding. So What!!! Your freakin feeding your baby...there is nothing beautiful about it. Its like your showing off. Shut up...feed your kid and be done with it!! Do you need a damn cookie? Shut up!!

I honestly do not see the big deal with breast feeding now a days! It is natural. I personally did not breast feed in public due to my modesty.
