Back in May, we all watched, slack-jawed, a video of a 7-month-old baby water skiing. You read that right, 7 months, not 7 years. And now, the adorable little Ryder Ray Anderson is at it again. A new video of the tyke on water skis has been released, this time from when he was 11 months. And, well, think what you want of the safety factor, but there's no denying the kid's got skills.
Check it out:
If you're familiar with the first video, you'll notice that Ryder has gotten remarkably more advanced at water skiing in his old age. The first time 'round, his mother ran next to him and the entire ride was only 30 seconds or so. This time he's off on his own and appears to be going a little faster. My guess? By the time he's 15 months, we'll see him riding one-handed.
Now, I can whole-heartedly say that I would never allow my child to do this at such a young age. But clearly these parents know what they're doing and are taking all safety precautions into consideration. (Except for wearing a helmet! Egads!) Sometimes, I wish I were as laid-back a parent as this, as it just seems nice. But, I don't know. I have a feeling no matter how much I "loosened up," I still wouldn't allow my infant to go water skiing.
That said, can't wait to see Ryder's next video. What a little bad ass.
Would ever allow your baby to water ski?
