OMG! The royal palace told us they were releasing the official portraits from Prince George's christening last week, but they lied! They held one back on us! And the newest photo of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge with His Royal Highness might just be the best one of the bunch!
We've already seen the pretty formal posed portraits taken in the Morning Room at Clarence House by photographer Jason Bell following Prince George’s baptism in the Chapel Royal, St. James’s Palace. But this photo of the royal baby with mum Kate Middleton and dad Prince William is more candid, and in it we get to see how the little prince interacts with his famous parents.
Take a look:
I wasn't overplaying it when I said best of the bunch, was I?
It may not be as playful as the photo of the trio that we saw earlier, with Prince George's arms up in the air, grinning for the camera, but the simplicity of this photo is what makes it so special. It's like we're getting a look-see at their intimate family dynamic.
More From The Stir: Royal Baby's Official Christening Photos Are Here! (PHOTOS)
Just look at that look between mother and son! It makes you melt, doesn't it? Even if you aren't a huge fan of the royal family, there's nothing sweeter than a baby gazing up adoringly at mom ... and mom mirroring that look right back! And the Duke looks pretty smitten too!
Why do you think the palace held this photo back?
