Don't let the bed ghosts bite.Prince William and Kate Middleton are letting a bunch of dusty old ghosts raise their son. According to royal biographer Andrew Morton, the room Prince George's nursery is in is haunted. Like, legitimately haunted. When the Duchess went to check up on him the other night, she found his crib levitating. JK. No, but seriously, Baby Cambridge's bedroom is in a spot that's "notorious for ghost sightings."
Morton claims that deceased royals George II, Caroline of Brunswick, and Princess Sophia have all been seen in the Prince's room, which is in Apartment 1A of Kensington Palace. He also said: "Princess Margaret's housekeeper told her she saw a woman in Regency dress suddenly appear in front of her then vanish through a wall." So, yeah. No thanks on that.
I'm guessing that neither William nor Kate believe in this kind of nonsense, because who, in their right mind, would put their newborn in a haunted room if they believed in ghosts.
Maybe they do believe in ghosts and they're hoping Princess Diana will pay little Georgie a visit during one of his naps. That would be so sweet if that were the case, though I'm kinda thinking the Duke and Duchess fall under the former umbrella. Neither strikes me as the Paranormal Activity kind of royal. And when a room is haunted, you can't really control the visitors who "drop by."
Hopefully, all will remain uneventful in the little Prince's nursery. Though if Will and Kate are ever feeling up for a scare, they ought to invest in one of those video monitors. Everything looks scary as hell through those screens -- especially at night.
Do you believe in ghosts?
