This Dreamy Nursery Is Soft & Soothing for Baby

A nursery often ends up being so much more than just a room for baby to "sleep" in (and I use that term lightly), which is perhaps why some of us are so intent on making it a welcoming space -- and maybe even a bit of an escape.

This dreamy nursery belonging to little Frances is full of soft tones and muted colors, with lovely accents and personal touches thoughtfully placed -- making it the perfect haven for baby girl.

I love a Jenny Lind crib, and those oval frames with illustrations of the family dogs hanging above are simple and well placed, and much beloved I'm sure.

A lovely little spot for those feeding sessions with a handy notebook close by for Mama to jot down milestones and whatever else might be on her mind.

Who knew a changing table could look so magical and ethereal? Must be the soft curtains and natural light.

The buttery yellow armoire is to die for, yes? A free find given a fresh coat of paint and new knobs -- total score! And the blanket is a family heirloom made by Frances' great-grandmother. What a treasure.

I'm also a big fan of the wall color used in this nursery. It's funny how a little paint can dictate the entire feeling of a room. In this case, I think it all came together quite splendidly.

Do you like the way this nursery turned out, or isn't it your style?
