I bought my baby's Christmas dress for this year last year when it was on sale after the holidays. (Buying off-season has gotten me some good deals.) Since then I've gone a little crazy and bought her a dress for our Christmas cards, a dress for her first birthday (it's coming up!), a dress for Christmas Eve, an outfit for a holiday party we're going to, and a dress for this weekend's "Brunch with Santa." Whew! So much for saving money. She's like a celebrity—she can't wear the same thing more than once. (I, on the other hand, have nothing to wear!)
Now I'm panicking because I just read a post in
Stay at Home Moms, "Do You Have Your Kids Christmas PJs Picked Out?"
No, I don't! I don't have anything festive for her to wear on Christmas
morning! I've gotta get something fast! Otherwise she is going to see
the pictures of herself in jungle animal pajamas years from now and
think I didn't love her! (Where can I get PJs? Anyone?)
What's your baby wearing? Do you have different outfits for cards and parties and Santa? Or are you going with one adorable outfit for everything?

He's 21 months old. He'll be wearing a simple V neck red sweater for Christmas Eve and for Christmas Day he has a red V neck sweater vest and a white or red and gray plaid shirt for underneath. He'll wear his dark washed rockstar jeans :) for eve and black linen pants for day. All from Children's Place. LOVE Children's Place.
I bought the girls matching dresses at Kohls.
Old Navy has adorable PJ's for Christmas tis year, also Wal*Mart & K*Mart & Macy's!
I agree Old Navy and Children's Place are both great places for PJs. Children's place has "family" PJ sets. Not for me but hey, someone will like them I am sure of it. Every year for Christmas Eve my family gets to open one present and it is always new skibbies and new PJ's for the morning photo shoot.
As far as outfits go, I am a nut. My daughter has her birthday outfit, the office party holiday outfit, her Christmas with the in-laws outfit, Christmas Eve, Christmas day. It is crazy and also a little nice to know that I am not the only one. Thanks!
"Otherwise she is going to see the pictures of herself in jungle animal pajamas years from now and think I didn't love her!"
Really? Seriously. My kids will be wearing hand-me-down Yu-Ghi-Oh pajamas, both the boy and the girl and if they call me to therapy in 20 years and the subject at hand is "My mother didn't love me because she didn't buy me special pajamas" I will laugh right out loud. Festive pajamas, no wonder the world is going to hell in a Prada handbasket.
I got me and my girls matching PJs from Children's Place. They also have a "casual" outfits for meeting santa with matching velvet skirts and Christmas t-shirts. They have matching a fancy dresses for Christmas afternoon. Evie's first birthday is Dec 22. I had a special outfit made from a seller on Esty. I also have a special outfit for both the girls so when they wake up on Evie's gotcha day on Christmas Eve they will have a new outfit.
My kids don't have fancy Christmas outfits, but we do have Christmas PJ's. They will be wearing them for their Christmas card pictures, and on Christmas Eve so they wake up in them on Christmas morning. I got my 2 year olds PJ's at Wal-Mart, and my 6 month old's at Target.
Well I would say we have a lot in common. My son has a diff holiday outfit for everything we do! They are all fairly dressy outfit, one is very dresssy. I coose to put him in bubbles and long-alls, no big boy clothes or us! You are right when you say they are like little celebrities, never to be seen in the same outfit more than once! And naturally I wear the same boring things it feels like. And yes we also have several sets of Christmas PJ's and I bought all o mine at local boutiques because they have the softst and cutest PJ's!
Its Babys First Christmas so I thought it would be cute to dress him up as Baby Santa, he is going to look so cute! Its a bunting bag and cute santa hat!
