They managed to keep it private for a few days or so, but now Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan-Tatum's baby's name has finally been revealed!
Oh come on, admit it -- you were so excited when the news broke over the weekend that Jenna had given birth, only to be disappointed in the next minute when she and Channing chose not to reveal the baby's sex or name.
But then it was confirmed that they had welcomed a little girl, and now they've decided not to keep her adorable moniker a secret any longer.
They made the announcement on Channing's website -- their daughter's name is Everly. Everly Tatum.
OMG. Don't-cha love it?
Personally, I think Everly is one of the sweetest, most beautiful girl names I've ever heard. A friend of mine gave her baby that name a couple years ago (although it's spelled differently), and since then, I've thought it was the perfect mix of lovely and feminine, and a combination of being unique yet kind of traditional too. It's awesome. (And I probably would've stolen it had I ever had a little girl.)
And you know what else is really cool? The origin of Everly is Old English. It means "from the boar meadow, or grazing meadow," which immediately makes you picture the countryside of England. (Or at least that's what I see in my mind.)
Since Jenna and Channing welcomed their daughter in London, don't you think it's so fitting that they chose an English name for her? Even after they head back to the States, she'll always have that connection to where she was born, and I just think that's so neat.
And I guess now that we know her name, there's only one more question to ask. When are we going to see a picture of this ridiculously beautiful child? The suspense is killing us!
What do you think of the name Everly?
