Carter's pajamasHave you heard that the CPSC is recalling Carter's infant pajamas yet? The recall was issued a few days ago, and eight different styles of the footed, one-piece zippered clothing are involved. About 218,000 units are included in the recall. The zipper on the front of the pajamas can detach and possibly pose a choking hazard to babies.

The affected sizes are newborn, 3, 6, and 9 months, and all of the pajamas were sold between December 2012 and January 2013.

More than one major retailer sold the clothes in stores and online.

If you purchased Carter's pj's at Walmart, Target, OshKosh B'gosh, or oshkoshbgosh.com, you'll want to check your child's closet and drawers immediately to see if you have one of the recalled styles.

You'll find the style code on a label on the side seam of the clothing. The brand of the pajamas is stamped into the neckline of the garment. The styles and numbers involved in the recall are as follows.

Baby B’gosh

414-208 -- Yellow with white quarter moons and gray and white stars print.

Child of Mine

715-839 -- Baseball-style, white with blue stripes, yellow accents, and "Little Brother" printed on the chest.

If you have one of the recalled styles, you will receive a full refund from Carter's. You can visit www.carters.com and click "Product Recalls," or call (888) 282-4674 between the hours of 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., CT, Monday through Friday.

As of now, no injuries to babies who have worn the clothing have been reported.

Considering the date range when the pajamas were sold was during the holiday season, even if you didn't purchase them for your baby, there's a chance someone bought them as a gift. I know whenever I received clothes for my son when he was an infant, people gave me pieces in a whole range of sizes. Sometimes I'd wash and put them away and forget about them until he grew into that particular size -- so even if your baby hasn't worn the pajamas yet, he may still have them in his wardrobe.

It can't hurt to do a quick once over and go through everything just to check and be on the safe side. I can't think of one mom I know who doesn't have Carter's products, and that's why I intend on passing this on to my family and friends even though I don't have a baby at home. It's better to be safe than sorry, right?

Do you think your baby has these pajamas?
